Field Service
MTP Drivetrain Services has field technicians that travel to any customer location to support our products and thus the warfighter. MTP Field Technicians are capable of providing a variety of value-added services to support our customers in the areas of surplus parts and/or diesel engine rebuilders, which include induction inspections, diagnostics of engine and transmission failures, hands-on vehicle troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, parts procurement, quality checks, and final inspections.
MTP Field Technicians come equipped with their own tools, copies of Military Technical Manuals as well as OEM Manuals, some spare parts, and computer diagnostic equipment and software that might be available from the OEM to assist in troubleshooting powertrain assemblies. Our Field Service Manager uses his military experience, training, and heritage to guide the Field Technicians. Our Field Technicians are expected to work with the customer as if they were part of their team. If our customers work late or on the weekend, then we work with them. If our customers are having an electrical problem while resetting a truck, then we lend a hand even if the issue has nothing to do with the products we are providing.
MTP Drivetrain Services’ Field Technicians have worked with the following customers:
- BAE Systems
- Red River Army Depot (RRAD)
- Texas National Guard RSMS
- Kansas National Guard RSMS
- USMC Depot at Barstow
- Lord Corporation
- Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk
- Barksdale Air Force Base
- TechCom
The military organizations that have done work with MTP can vouch for the professionalism and value of our Field Service Team.
MTP Drivetrain Services has an expectation that whenever we begin a contract, a Field Service Technician will be stationed at the customer’s location. Sometimes this is a requirement but at other times it is not, either way, our experience has proven that having a Field Technician on the ground assists in diagnosing issues as concerns get raised immediately which prevents rumors, helps frame perception, and allows us to react more quickly. MTP expects to have at least one technician on site at a customer location until such time as both parties are ecstatic about the performance of MTP Drivetrain Services.
In the end, tactical vehicles are going through RESET, RECAP, or repair actions to bring a unit back to fully mission capable status. Our mission at MTP is to support our warfighters and that means doing whatever we can to assist our military customers achieve success.
