MTP Drivetrain Services takes great pride in rebuilding sound and reliable Powertrain components. Our employees are the primary reason behind our success. MTP Drivetrain strives to hire many military veteran mechanics, in our attempt to bring hands-on experience to the remanufacturing of military vehicle drivetrain components. Approximately 30% of MTP Drivetrain  employees are military veterans, but military experience is not all there is in producing high quality military parts.

CERTIFIED EXPERTS

Transmission Remanufacture

MTP Drivetrain Services is an experienced Allison transmission remanufacturer, and our transmission rebuilders are all certified Allison Transmission Technicians. We are also approved to remanufacture all military Allison transmissions in the field today. In addition to the expert personnel, we also have a valve body tester and two transmission dynamometers that we use to test every transmission that leaves our facility.

Machine Shop

MTP Drivetrain Services has a full-service machine shop for the remanufacturing of engine components. MTP is pushing our machinists through the AERA Engine Machinist Certification program. MTP has the most machining equipment of any engine shop in Louisiana which gives us the flexibility we need to support the wide variety of engines in the military fleets.

MASTERS OF THE CRAFT

Engine Experts

MTP Drivetrain Services has a number of expert engine builders, each with years of experience. The engine build shop is led by Philip Rushing, a GM-certified master mechanic who also had achieved ASE Master Mechanic Certification. MTP currently writes specific work instructions for each contract to ensure that each contracts’ requirements are met in regards to remanufacturing engines. Our engine builders work on each engine from start to finish in a single work station and are rated on their efficiency to our internal rebuild standards and also on their quality.

Our builders take great pride in beating the standard times and also on leading the group in quality workmanship. Our engine builders are also encouraged to pursue the AERA Engine Machinist Certification or the ASE Master Mechanic Certification. After the engines are built, each unit will be tested on one of our three engine dynamometers to ensure performance to the specifications and no leaks are discovered.

Axles & Drivetrains

MTP Drivetrain Services has a group focused on the remanufacturing of axles, transfer cases, drums, and other driveline components. As an approved distributor for Meritor Defense and other brands; MTP is able to stay current with developing technology of axles and driveline components. We have also custom designed test equipment and remanufacturing equipment to be efficient and consistent with the quality of the products we remanufacture.
