RENK developed and constructed transmission test rig (PGX200) for MIP lnstandsetzungsbetriebe GmbH in Mainz.  Standard operating tests of Allison X 200-4 transmissions are carried out with PGX200, in accordance with DMWR9-2520-272.

Development covers all testing and regulating elements, electronic controlling and monitoring system as well as all necessary mechanical and hydraulic main assemblies.  All assemblies of the test rig are designed compact and for continuous operation. Comprehensive electronic safety and monitoring devices guarantee reliable operation of PGX200.

PGX200 is designed in accordance with the principle of hydrostatic pressure. This and low mass moment of inertia of input and output units guarantee minimum power consumption. Short positioning time of axial piston machines permits running off of dynamic test programs; i.e. testing X200-4 transmissions takes place almost under actual conditions of application.

Fast changing of test pieces and optimal access to test pieces are guaranteed in spite of the compact and space-saving design.PGX200 developed by RENK fulfills all of the requirements listed in the specifications of MIP.
